About this video: This video is our complete guide on how to download and install X Ray 1.17 in Minecraft. This is done using the Minecraft X Ray texture pack for 1.17. We go over it all from where to download XRay 1.17 to how to install XRay 1.17 in Minecraft vanilla without any mods. Like I mentioned already, we do this without mods as we use an XRay resource pack build completely for 1.17 from the ground up. This XRay texture pack is XRay Ultimate. It is one of the longest standing and best updated XRay resource packs, and they were to add XRay to Minecraft 1.17 on release day!

Moving on to actually getting XRay 1.17 in Minecraft, we will need to download XRay Ultimate. You can find the XRay Ultimate download page in the description above. Once you click that link, it will actually take you to our text tutorial for adding XRay to Minecraft 1.17. Here, you will see a yellow ‘Download XRay Ultimate’ button. Click that to be take to XRay Ultimate’s official download page. Once you are there, look at the right-hand sidebar and scroll down to the ‘Minecraft 1.17’ section. Click the download button on the version under this section. XRay will start downloading for 1.17. You may need to keep or save the file depending on your browser.

After you have XRay downloaded, we have move on to how to install XRay 1.17 in Minecraft. This is also pretty easy. Just open up Minecraft 1.17 like you would if you were normally playing Minecraft. From there, click on ‘Options’. Then, click ‘Resource Packs…’ Next, click ‘Open Pack Folder’ in the bottom right of Minecraft 1.17. Tis will open up the Minecraft resource pack folder. Since we are installing an XRay Texture Pack and resource packs and texture packs are the same thing in Minecraft 1.17. This is where we will add the texture pack we downloaded.

To add XRay to Minecraft 1.17, just drag-and-drop the XRay texture pack file for 1.17 you downloaded into the resource pack folder that you opened up. You can now go back to Minecraft, and you should see the ‘XRay Ultimate 1.17’ resource pack in your ‘Available’ resource pack section. Hover over it and click the arrow to move it to the ‘Selected’ section. Now, click ‘Done’. Minecraft will reload and XRay 1.17 will be installed!

To remove XRay from Minecraft just remove it from the selected tab. We do recommend using Optifine with XRay 1.17. You can find the link for Optifine in the description above. That link is kept up-to-date for the most recent version of Minecraft.
